LITTLETON, CO (October 25, 2007) – Lauth and Exempla Lutheran Medical Center today cut the ribbon to officially open Exempla Lutheran Medical Center Southwest in Littleton, Colorado.

The 63,000 square foot facility features a digital imaging center (opening January 2008) and urgent care, as well as medical offices such as Pediatrics West, Altitude Family and Internal Medicine, Rocky Mountain Heart Associates, and Allergy, Asthma, & Sinus Center. Leasing of the facility is being handled by Lauth.
The construction of Exempla Lutheran Medical Center Southwest followed extensive research showing that area residents want better access to high-quality health care. Additionally, the new outpatient facility will improve access to care for one of the fastest growing areas in Colorado. “Lutheran Southwest answers the community’s request for health care that is closer to home and more outpatient-oriented. We are fulfilling health care needs, just as Exempla Lutheran has done for 100 years,” said Bob Malte, ELMC president and CEO.
John Fielder, a nationally renowned photographer, publisher, teacher and preservationist, treated guests at the ribbon cutting to remarks on nature and healing, while also autographing photography books.
The ribbon cutting for Exempla Lutheran Medical Center Southwest is the latest announcement by Lauth, one of the nation’s leading development and construction firms. The company recently broke ground on Riverview Point, a six-building office park near Phoenix, and a healthcare facility for PinnacleHealth in Mechanicsburg, PA. It also opened the Bon Secours Health Center in Virginia Beach, VA earlier this year.
