Experienced Retail Developer Joins Lauth

INDIANAPOLIS (March 2, 2007) – Lauth today announced that retail veteran Francis “Jensie” Teague III has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Retail.

“Jensie offers Lauth’s clients a wealth of experience at some of the nation’s most respected retail development firms,” said Robert Lauth, Chairman and CEO. “Lauth reported a solid year of retail growth in 2006 and Jensie’s leadership will allow us to continue to develop our national portfolio.”

Teague brings 16-years retail development experience to Lauth. Prior to joining the company, he served as Senior Managing Director at Faison, a leading southeast retail developer. During his career, Teague has developed more than five million square feet of retail for such names as Wal-Mart, Lowe’s Home Improvement Centers, Target, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Home Depot, and others. Teague will lead Lauth’s nationwide retail team from the company’s office in Charlotte.

“Lauth’s growing national retail presence makes this opportunity too great to pass up,” said Teague. “Lauth is building a great reputation of developing successful and distinct community, power, and lifestyle centers.”

Teague will lead a retail team that opened or began construction of eight new retail centers in the past year. Once completed, these developments will more than double Lauth’s amount of completed retail space – currently 2.72 million square feet. He joins a retail team that includes recently promoted First Vice President of Retail Larry Evinger to offer Lauth’s partners, clients, and tenants a unique mix of retail experience. Prior to joining Lauth, Evinger spent more than a decade working in real estate at retailers including Kohl’s Department Store and Wal-Mart.

“Lauth is building a tremendous retail team encompassing both retail and development experience,” said Larry Evinger, First Vice President of Retail. “I believe our team’s breadth of knowledge will enable Lauth to truly develop unique retail properties across the nation.”

Today’s announcement comes just weeks after Lauth broke ground on its eighth retail center in the past year. The company on February 13 broke ground on The Shoppes at Rivercrest, a Wal-Mart anchored power center, in Granite Falls, NC. The company is also currently building Porter’s Vale in Valparaiso, Indiana (Chicago DMA); Catawba Springs Promenade in Denver, NC; Moores Chapel Village in Charlotte, NC; Bryan Towne Center in Bryan/College Station, TX, and Brownsburg Station, outside of Indianapolis. Lauth opened Sycamore Terrace in Terre Haute, Indiana and Lafayette Pavilions in Lafayette, Indiana in 2006.
