CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA (March 5, 2009) – Lauth®, one of the nation’s leading development and construction firms, today completed construction of North Pointe Building Four. The structure is the first of two new bulk distribution buildings at North Pointe Industrial Park, a modern Class A industrial facility strategically located just four miles from the Port of Charleston and five miles to I-26 and I-526.
“North Pointe Building Four marks the largest modern bulk distribution/logistics facility available near the Port of Charleston and the interstates,” said Houston Roberts, Vice President of Office and Industrial Development in Lauth’s Charlotte office. “This building’s amenities, proximity to the Port’s container terminals, and potential foreign trade zone designation will make it one of the prime locations for commerce in the area.”
North Pointe Building Four is a 390,180-square-foot (SF) cross-dock building featuring 32’ clear height, up to 100 dock doors, parking for 72 trailers and over 200 cars.
Hagood Morrison, Peter Fennelly, and Simons Johnson of Colliers Keenan Charleston are handling the leasing of North Pointe for Lauth.
This marks the latest announcement for Lauth. Last month the company broke ground on Fort Norfolk Plaza, a nine-story, 195,980 SF, $70 million medical office building in Norfolk, VA. This month the company will celebrate the grand opening of NASCAR® Plaza, a 20-story world class office tower in downtown Charlotte. Later this spring, Lauth will complete construction on Imperial Point Medical Arts Pavilion in Fort Lauderdale, FL and the Morton Plant North Bay Medical Arts Building in New Port Richey, FL.
