Lauth Announces Anchor Tenant for Meridian Corporate Plaza Three

INDIANAPOLIS (December 4, 2007) – Lauth today announced a lease with The Hartford Fire Insurance Company for over half of Meridian Corporate Plaza Three. The Hartford will lease 78,000 square feet (sf) and occupy approximately two and a half floors of the recently completed office building located off I-465 near US 31 in Carmel. The Hartford is relocating from 11 Fortune Park on the Northwest side of Indianapolis.

“Lauth’s lease with The Hartford shows the continued strength of the North Meridian office corridor,” said Tag Birge, First Vice President of Midwest Development at Lauth. “Meridian Corporate Plaza continues to perform well in the submarket by attracting tenants with its excellent highway visibility, nearby amenities, and the strong regional economy.”

Meridian Corporate Plaza Three is a 135,000 sf, four-story Class-A office building, set in the Meridian Corporate Plaza. The three-building office park contains more than 330,000 sf, including Lauth’s headquarters. Amenities include Lulu’s Café, a 100 seat conference center and a walking path around a five-acre lake. The Hartford joins other tenants including: Bose McKinney & Evans, Walker Information, Architects Forum, Pillar Group, and Lauth at Meridian Corporate Plaza. Meridian Corporate Plaza is over 83% leased.

John Vandenbark and Dan Richardson from CB Richard Ellis represented The Hartford. Lauth represented itself.

The Hartford lease at Meridian Corporate Plaza Three is the latest recent announcement by Lauth. Last week, the company opened one of the largest green distribution centers in the U.S., a 525,000 sf facility for REI which was built to LEED Silver specifications. The company also announced a development deal to build a retail and entertainment center integrated with The Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee, WI. Lauth unveiled plans earlier this year for Westpoint Business Park, a 7.1 msf distribution hub in the Plainfield submarket and continues construction of INTECH Three at Lauth’s INTECH Park, North Meridian Medical Plaza Two and the South Indianapolis Medical Plaza.
