DALLAS (November 13, 2007) – Lauth, one of the nation’s leading developers and contractors, today announced plans to build one of the largest spec distribution buildings in the Great Southwest Industrial Submarket. Towne Lake Business Park will feature two Class-A distribution buildings, totaling nearly one million square feet. The site is just minutes from DFW International Airport, abuts the new State Highway (SH) 161, and offers quick access to SH 360, SH 183, and Interstate 30.
“Towne Lake offers a great location and a secured business park environment to prospective tenants,” says Robert Bode, Sr. Director of Development at Lauth’s Dallas Office. “This development offers some of the largest modern bulk distribution buildings in the area with ample trailer parking in the heart of the DFW Metroplex.”
Towne Lake One will be a 728,520 SF, cross-dock building featuring 135 truck docks. Towne Lake Two will be a 248,000 SF, rear load facility featuring 45 truck docks. Each facility contains ample space for on-site trailer parking and fills a growing need in the area for distribution centers exceeding 200,000 SF. Construction of both Towne Lake buildings will commence immediately. They will be available for occupancy in the 4th quarter 2008.
“Lauth’s entry into Dallas is consistent with our growth strategy targeting key regional and national distribution markets,” said Mike Jones, Senior Vice President of Office and Industrial development at Lauth.
Dave Anderson of CB Richard Ellis will provide leasing services for Lauth on both Towne Lake buildings.
Towne Lake Business Park marks the latest announcement by Lauth. In September the company broke ground on Montecito Point, an 187,000 SF and LEED Registered office building in Las Vegas and announced plans for a distribution hub outside of Indianapolis totaling over 7.1 million SF. Lauth began pouring the foundation for NASCAR Plaza, a 20-story office tower in downtown Charlotte in August.
Towne Lake marks the first speculative distribution facility developed in Texas by Lauth. The company is currently building Whitestone Medical Pavilion, a 65,000 SF, Class-A, medical office building in Cedar Park, TX; and Bryan Towne Center, a 400,000 SF, Target anchored retail development in Bryan/College Station, TX. Lauth opened its office in Dallas in 2006.
